I was booked in the Pan Pacific Hotel for the week of UBCM and this is one of the restaurants on site. A group of us went for breakfast on our first morning there. The server was great but the time it took for the...kitchen to complete our meals was far too long. The place was not full, either. However, the meal was tremendous with good portion size as well. On my last day in town I went for breakfast on my own. I ordered the 2-egg breakfast (scrambled, hash browns, turkey sausage and sourdough toast). This time the kitchen was somewhat faster but I got the wrong toast. It was okay as multi-grain is probably better for me, anyway. When I got the bill I was stunned to see a $7.50 charge for coffee. I'm guessing that's because I had a thermos on my table for a second cup. Regardless, the view, the setting and the quality of the food made up for any issues that I may have had with the kitchen.
