The large chain grocer across the street was closed, so I popped into European Deli.
The large chain grocer across the street was closed, so I popped into European Deli. What I found inside was beyond my wildest dreams: fresh borek (that infamous Turkish pastry), a variety of prosciutto, Greek labneh, homemade Iranian long bread, samosas, and just about everything...on my grocery list. The friendly owner helped me pick out the finest meats and cheeses, pestos, honeys, and other essentials. And as I was paying he generously reminded me: don't you want hummus with that bread? I did. I truly did.
