My 3 siblings and l and a terrible lunch experience at the pickle barrel Centre Point Mall on December 22, 2019. Service was poor, 2 of the 4 orders were mixed up and some of the items listed in the menu were left off the...plate. On one of the orders, the waitress said it was OK to substitute French fries with onion ring without extra charge – however, there was a charge on the bill. I ordered the "LOW & SLOW HOT ALBERTA BEEF" with gravy on the side. I received the order with gravy over the bun and no fried onions. I did receive a new plate but the meat was mostly fat and gristle and I could not eat it. After some time I was to get the waitress' attention to raise the issue - I asked to speak to the manager and also get a restaurant evaluation form. Again, after some time, the waitress came with the restaurant form that had a business card of the general manger. The manager came to the table and we tried to explain our concern. He seemed very disinterested, argumentative and basically said that "we got what we ordered" and then proceeded to show a picture of one of the orders from the menu. I asked if the general manager was in the restaurant and if I could speak him. In fact, I didn't realize that the general manager was standing right behind the manager while I was explained our complaint. The general manager just stood there for a short time, muttered something I could not comprehend and simply walked away. The general manager did not acknowledge the issue and did not even have the courtesy to speak to us directly - very unprofessional and obviously no interested to resolving customer service matter. As a small consolation - our bill was reduced by a token amount of 10%. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!More
