Recently went to the Circus Play Café for a playdate and was not disappointed! What a great little café for parents and kids (designed for babies to pre-K). Parking is a bit of a nightmare though, as the café is located in a small strip...mall that has very limited parking spots. I was very lucky to score a spot which made it so much easier for me to get my two toddlers to the café on my own. So when you arrive you sign yourself in at the computer kiosk and the computer will spit out a couple of stickers. You take the stickers to the register/food ordering area to pay the admission fee which allows your kids to play for 2 hours. They write the time of when your 2 hour ends and you stick the sticker on your kids back and off you go. Inside there is quite limited seating - I think it was about 7-10 tables, some were small for 4 people and they had a couple bigger ones. There is then a separate play area for the kids (socks only) which was great. Had some "stores", kitchen, and then structures that had slides. There was one that looked like a bus for the smaller kids. Then there were books, and other little things for the kids to play with including a sensory wall, and a great area that had locks and switches and buttons (my son loved that). I went on a Sat at 10am and it got busy really quickly and as you can expect, a contained space with kids running around there were a few bumps here and there. Found that it slowed down again around 11:30. We then fed our kids there and it was great that they had a kid menu and adult menu. I really liked the kid menu as they had some relatively standard kid stuff like grilled cheese and quesadillas, but also bento boxes that came with deli meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt and tortilla chips. Didn't order any "adult" food except for coffees and teas, so can't comment on how it was, but the kids liked the food they got. All in all a great little place to spend a rainy afternoon!More
