Although I made a reservation for 2, there was no one to greet me upon my arrival, so I waited around for about five minutes and then finally seated myself. Someone found me and guided me to my assigned table. After seating me, the server...asked me for the time, which was 6:02. (my reservation was for 6:00). and then informed me that I was too late for happy hour. Interesting...if I had been seated promptly upon my arrival, I would have qualified for happy hour, but since I had been seated 2 minutes too late due to their lack of staff, I was disqualified and, when I asked the server to slip me in, she insisted that was impossible. After that insult, I was provided with a cup of hot tea while I waited for my dining partner to join me. They were running late, but while I was waiting no one came to check on me, ask me if I wanted a drink or an appy, which I was more than ready to order. After being professionally ignored for 20 minutes, I left. But wait, there's more. After I left I received notice from Open Table that the reservation had been cancelled. Indeed, as far as I was concerned that is NOT what happened since I was there on time, and eager to order something, anything while I was waiting! So in short, if you delight in restaurant S&M I highly recommend treating yourself to Goro & Gunn on a weekday evening.
