I have lived in Valley Ridge for the past 20 years. I've seen this place go through different owners and each time I go back because it's supposed to "be amazing". They routinely mess up the simplest of things, like pizza, and more recently their...wings. Thursday's are supposed to be wing night at Van Gough's but you have to ask for what flavours they have because it's not on the menu. Asian food night is on Saturday's but again you have to ask because it's not on the menu, and the menu for this is hidden away. The asian food night was terrible, as they use greek rice and apparently don't know how to cook anything as anything that needed to be fried was overcooked. Wing night was another disaster. Again the wings were overcooked making them crispier than they should have been. On top of that the wings were mostly broken and some were more comparable to chicken chunks than wings. Now apart from the food the services is terrible. The one waitress Van Gough's has is rude to say the least. She is slow, and can't remember simple things like requiring a box. We waited a very long time to get refills on our drinks and even longer to get the actual food. this wouldn't be a problem if she wasn't so busy chatting up everyone at the bar instead of being a waitress. Overall. In the 20 years I have lived in the community, it has always been the same. Terrible. As of the time of this writing they have been ordered by Alberta Health Services to stop dine-in service due to the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19.
