We arrived at 12 .39 on Sat Dec 17 for brunch for which we had a groupon. We were seated after 10 to 15 mins as the table for 2 were not clean or ready. In fact there were many table vacant and only 6...occupied. We knew what we wanted to order and so ordered right away only to be told that the protein that we ordered was out of stock. That was ok with us. After about one hour wait we were told that there was an error and our orders did not go thru so we will have to order again. We were patient and so told them that we already paid $12 for parking and this was a ridiculously long time wait to be told that we have to reorder. While we were waiting we realised that the waitress would go and chat with everyone but us. She offered refill coffee as they were slow in service but did not offer any to us. We still ignored that attitude. While we were waiting and waiting, one customer who realised that we were waiting for long, commented that we should be getting our meal free. Just then the server with short hair on one side and long pony on the other (seemed like in charge that day) came and said that the meal will be free and will be served in less than 10 mins and we can use our groupon another time. We agreed thinking it was a genuine mistake. However we waited 35 mins again thereafter only to witness that the other customers who came way way after us were served first. The service was slow for people but were offered coffee or something to compensate. The waitress just did not care about us and totally ignored us. We wasted an hour and 40 mins plus only to be told by the server that the food is just about ready and she will clean the other tables around and get our food thereafter. At that point it was just enough for us. We approached theserver with short long hair long pony to tell her that it is enough and we are leaving and if she wants to charge us for two coffees that we had. She had no apology but immediately said " Oh you can leave. It is okay. I am not sure why the food is not served and yes you can leave" and walked away. It could be one off situation but the staff did not handle it well and we also felt that they cared more about fair customers then the coloured. We felt discrimination and worst service ever with no sense of apology or remorse for keeping customers waiting and waiting. This whole experience ruined our day and we feel very upset that we spent 2 hours of our lives being treated like this. I have a Groupon that I don't think i would want to use and pay for heavy parking fees and be treated as such. This seems to be a common occurrence at Village as few others in my social circle had similar experience at Village. I sincerely hope the management does something about this poor and discriminating service staff.
