It was a Sunday night and my family was looking for dinner after a full day of touring Montreal. We were famished, and after standing in line at a famous deli across the street, then realizing there was nothing to eat for my semi-vegetarian son,...we wandered the street until we stumbled upon Mysore. The restaurant was nearly empty so we were hesitant to eat there, but we were also hungry so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! Our food was delicious! We started off with vegetable samosas, which were fantastic! I had saag paneer and some of my son's vegetable korma. Both dishes were tasty. The vegetable korma was somewhat sweet, which my son and I both liked. The food was less spicy than other Indian restaurants I've eaten at, but that suited our tastes. The service was excellent and the waiter was attentive and friendly. My family members have food allergies, and we found the waiter was helpful and knowledgeable about what foods would be safe for the two of us with various allergies Overall, we were thrilled to have such great food with vegetarian options, and that the waiter was knowledgeable about the ingredients in various dishes, and was able to steer those with allergies away from food allergens.
