Perhaps it's because of the multitude of taco offering in Vancouver, but we fancied tacos ! Plus we had heard raves review about Tacofino. Staying the the Yaletown area, we decided to try it out for dinner. The neighbourhood is quite nice for a little...evening walk before or after your meal and there were a few seats on the terrasse. As it was a little chilly on our visit, we decided to eat inside. They do check for vaccination proof if you decide to eat at the restaurant, but that wasn't a problem. The restaurant was fairly quiet when we went (weeknight), but it seemed very busy with take out/delivery orders. We ordered and payed first and the food arrived very quickly and everything was good. Perhaps the fish taco was a little "oily", but still good and the fish was chunky. My favourite though was the cauliflower taco, I'm not a vegetarian, but it was delicious with a good balance of spicy. The guacamole was also good. As we paid on arrival, there wasn't really a follow up so we didn't succumb to the dessert churros (which isn't a bad thing necessarily as we were pleasantly full). We would recommend for a quick, pleasant taco meal. Perhaps if it was busier and we had to wait longer, we might have thought it over hyped but we had a nice meal.
