I don't expect a ton from a hotel restaurant necessarily, but I expect some basic things. Things like: clean tables, upholstery that doesn't stink and doesn't have massive stains on it, a functional washroom... You know, basic stuff. This was all missing from Carliano's. We...first day down at a booth where the table was too big for the booth. No problem, we slid over to the opening. To have more room. Then we noticed the funky smell. After a few minutes we got up and went to a table with "leather" seats instead. I'm not positive that the table was dirty, or was just old and needed replacement. Anyways, good enough for now so we ordered dinner. While waiting, I went to the men's room. Not good. One of the toilet stalls didn't even have a lock in the door, so I chose the other one. The door would not latch, unless you lifted the door to for the lock I to the latch, which I did. Not the cleanest bathroom either but not the worst I've seen either. We waited almost 40 minutes for a salad and pizza. The Cabrese Salad was made with unripe tomatoes and therefore didn't have much taste. The pizza was decent, but not the one we ordered, and couldn't have been more wrong. We ordered a simple one with cheese, spinach, sauce, because we didn't want anything heavy. The pizza we got, after 40 minutes, was full of pepperoni, ham, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, etc. We ate it anyways because it was late and we were starving. Not impressed and the hotel should frankly be embarrassed to have that restaurant on their premises.
