This was my third visit. The first time it was the best food I had ever had in Winnipeg. The second time also excellent. This time my friend and I both agreed that it was more of a 4/5. We had 4 dishes plus a...dessert. The first item on the current menu, a lettuce base salad, was fantastic and much better than expected. The beet salad is not near as good as e previous version which is sad. I loved the previous with the pistachios. I understand the need to change the menu but it’s so sad when old favs disappear. The prawn dish was very bland and underwhelming. The mac and cheese was good but nothing amazing. The blueberry tart however was fantastic. What could have made the experience better though was the service! Our waiter had no personality, didn’t engage with us, and for most dishes did not present it while sharing its ingredients as they have typically done in the past. He never even asked us what we thought of our dishes. A real damper on the whole experience. Based on this visit and having more limited options as a non meat eater, I won’t be back until the next menu changes. Hopefully it will be back to more like my first 2 experiences.
