La Croqueteria de Montreal serves up a very popular traditional tapas offering in a multitude of different flavors; verdaderamente un sabor autentico de Espana ! Pros: Located in nice section of Parc-Avenue; very close to Mount Royal Park (ideal for a picknick :)) Service seems...friendly enough; cashier was giving detailed explanations to a visiting couple, there were complimentary chocolates + "interesting" coquette mummy/zombie sticker for Halloween Now for the Croquetas: very nice exterior that retains a crispy texture, out of the filllings, my favorite were the morcilla (blood sausage), the cod, and the Txistorra + Quince. These are perfect to take to a party as an appetizer Nicely done website; very easy to understand and order Price is fairly decent per croqueta (@$2.45 each), given the ingredients used + the rarity of getting them in Montreal. Cons: No seating area; space to order is quite small Most of the croquetas varieties I tried have a similar taste to them; that could be due to their creamy interior texture which is nice, but overpowers the ingredients. Notable standout are the ones I listed under Pros. I would definitely come back to try out more varieties, and/or when going to a get-together.
