Wow, absolutely the worst! The bartender was the only person working, and that should have been our first clue. The bar was relatively slow for a Monday evening except for some odd regulars who kept giving us the eye. For drinks to start, we ordered...2 Manhattan's on the rocks, a gin & tonic and a beer. After a long wait, we were served Manhattan's consisting of 1/2 shot cheap whiskey and a shake of bitters. Not chilled and no ice. The bartender ignored us and catered to the regulars. Finally caught his attention long enough to ask for a cup of ice. He eventually got it and thought it was funny that he mixed the drinks wrong, but didn't offer to do anything about it. Price for two Manhattan's - keep reading. And the food was even worse! We shared a taco that was carelessly thrown together, again by the little bartender in his little kitchen behind the bar. I'd be amazed if the BC Health Department has actually issued them a valid license to serve food. We were never asked if we wanted another drink. We were in shock when we got the bill. $30.00 for 2 Manhattan's!!! Nearly $100 for the 4 of us. This is a bad actor; a local rip off joint that doesn't want return business. We've traveled the World and have experienced a few disappointing and crooked establishments, but this was by far the worst example of all. Should be investigated by Health department and Revenue Canada for not reporting income and deceptive billing practices. Such a black eye and terrible example for Vancouver.
