Arrived at 5:30 pm at the end of August hoping to enjoy a beer and nachos with a friend while overlooking Dow’s Lake. Boy was I wrong. First disappointment: there were so many wasps flying around - mainly because a half-empty drink remained at an...empty table. When I brought it to the Hostess’s attention, she kind of shrugged it off as a normal thing. A few minutes later, someone placed a small plate on top of the glass, which did not eliminate the amount of annoying wasps. Why the glass wasn’t completely removed and that table cleaned is beyond me. Second disappointment: we ended up having to sit inside due to all the wasps; however, they keep the doors open to the patio, so there were still wasps, just not as many. Third disappointment: the Nachos. Omg, they were the worst I have had anywhere!! Barely any toppings at all. I should’ve taken a picture of just how bland they were. A few tiny pieces of tomato here and there, a sprinkling of cheese and the tiniest cubes of chicken I have ever seen. That was it. Zero flavour. I had to ask for salsa. And they call themselves a Mexican restaurant. Way overpriced for what you get. Shame on you Mexi’s!More
