I was really excited for my first meal in Vancouver. My personal expectations were a little to high for what I actually got. I was really really excited to have some fresh seafood or even just some calamari. The compound is currently transitioning their menus...therefore, their selection was limited. Our waiter, however, was wonderful. He was really down to earth, quick with taking our orders, ready to make recommendations and honest about his preferences. I ordered the Mac & Cheese. It is a white wine and four cheese mac & cheese which had me really excited. Our waiter said it was his personal favourite. Although it was his favourite, I must say it was just average in my opinion. I did have a lovely local beer that made up for the average dinner. I would definitely like to go back and taste their new beer and food menu once it is ready. Look forward to writing that review and I hope it changes my opinion about this place.
