My wife and I have been in Vancover for few days already and have had some great meals so far untill tonight. We chose this place because of the roof top balcony overlooking commercial drive where we are staying and because the reviews of the...home made sausages seemed glowing. Worst choice we could have made and it ruined our anniversary. We waited half an hour sat in the balcony where it wasn't even busy but somehow all the waitresses ignored us for half an hour. Then we carefully chose the sampler meal for the speciality sausages...but were told they didn't have any. Next we tried the ribs..but she came back and said ribs were out they had none. So we tried for different type of sausage because many diff ones on menu..nope none of those. We ordered calamari for our starter but the main cause was brought first..and when we said we ordered a starter the two staff shrugged. So I said skip it we will just have the main course. Dry sausage in a huge bread bun with 15 fries.the sausage was no better than a street corner sausage in a bun and dry. Next surprise the calamari shows up to our table as we are finishing the main. When I said what? They just said oh it went to another order.. Okay let it go and eat it I thought. It was disgusting rubbery and soft batter not crispy and cold. Had been sitting somewhere for half an hour clearly. So our wedding anniversary dinner was dreadful and not once did the waitress apologise or make any attempt to make amends.free coffee? Complimentary dessert? Nope..didn't even make us think anyone gave a darn! Where are these staff trained?More
