Recently ordered takeout from sister restaurant in Walden (Chili Garden) which unfortunately closed and I was transferred back to Chili Garden. We used to go there quite frequently but got tired of being ignored by the wait staff so we quit going. Ordered 4 dishes...and they screwed up three of them. Ordered our usual Tom Ghar soup (#18) and when we started eating it discovered it had no lemon grass for flavor. I called back to the restaurant and at first they apologized and said I would get a replacement next time. The 10 minutes later they called me and said the lemon grass was sometimes not put in the soup so no freebie next time. I have ordered this soup over 30 times so I know what I am talking about. We also ordered shrimp with two kinds of mushroom. We got shrimp with one kind of mushroom (looked like a can of no name mushrooms from Walmart) and a very watery sauce. Ordered swimming rama chicken (another long time favorite) and again, a very watery and weak sauce, not much taste. They either should have said, sorry, we can't make that dish or just closed. Food is not cheap and no one needs to get ripped off. Here's a tip. If you crave this type of food, take the extra time and drive to the original, Spicy Hut on the bottom of Edmonton Trail, their food is always great.
