The Fat Pasha is an hour's walk from City Hall and worth every step. The service is friendly, helpful and efficient. The food is Middle Eastern, full of flavour, colourful and served in generous family-style portions. A decent bottle of wine costs $50 and as much food as two people can eat costs not much more. Even with a very generous tip in recognition of the good service we received, our meal was a good deal. The restaurant attracts a young and lively crowd, but even hungry septuagenarians like ourselves, who'd walked from downtown, felt welcome and at home.
