Went out with another couple to sample various items on the menu. Each couple selected three items. The first was a gnocchi dish that was very rich but tastey. We received the second dishes at different times?? Our root vegetable dish was good but we...waited almost 20 minutes for the other couple's dish to arrive. By the time it did ours was cold. The third dish was miso arctic char with kimchi rice and a soft egg. The rice was actually formed into a flat round patty that was precooked and then placed in the oven when it was ordered. When our dish arrived the fish was dry and the patty (which was not presented this way in the menu) was cold and very hard -- all flavour was gone. Dessert for the tasting menu was a chocolate pate that had a nougat on the inside. We were told it was an upscaled chocolate bar. It required a knife to even attempt to break through the center (not crispy but very tough) and was hard to eat. I chose not to as the taste was overpowering. We honestly expected more given the reviews posted. Both couples have eaten at various restaurants from solid hole-in-the-wall diners to 5 star, jacket only locations. Neither couple would come back.
