In a time when new restrictions have cut down the options for eating restaurant-made foods, happily Nook in Kits has extended its hours significantly, now opening seven days a week. Of course, given current government regulations this is for its takeouts & patio & outside...dinning only. It is now open on Monday & Tuesday from 5 pm to 9:30 pm, & Wednesday through Sunday from 3 pm to 9:30 pm. It was a cool April evening last week that I popped by to see if one could find a seat to eat at the two tables outside. Both were occupied but the very welcoming staff at the entrance took my cell number & said they would text me as soon as a table became available. It was busy on the takeout front. The text came about 20 mins later that the “lil spot” had become available. In these days when even menus have become an issue of contact, I tend to not browse the menu as I previously did but just order my standard favorite of the time. My current Nook favourites of the time are Chicken Liver with Port Onions with Crostini for starters & its great thin-crust Pizza with anchovies as a main at 22$. Weather permitting, Nook hopes to have its extended patio rocking soon. These Nook extensions bring a welcome feeling of plentitude in these diminished Covid 19 days. Posted by S FullerMore
