A lot of people would probably skip the Ivanhoe as it is a true dive bar that has been around for a long time. It is located on Main near terminal and you will see some sketchy looking people and bikers. Inside, things haven’t changed...much over the years but as long as you are comfortable and treat the regulars with respect you will have fun. It’s a place where people will just get up and dance when the music is on. There are pool tables and some dart boards for entertainment as well. We went on Friday night and they had a great rock and blues band playing. They were great. Drinks are cheap, $4.50 for a pint. At times you might encounter people who are very drunk or on drugs and on the night we were there we did help out someone who looked like they were overdosing. A real bar with real people with out any pretence.
