As Splendido is closing by year end, we decided to jump on the opportunity to dine before it wasn't around anymore. We enjoyed the 12 course tasting menu which was really fabulous. The service was also top notch. My only disappointment was the last savoury course - 85 day aged Cumbrae Farms steak (can't remember the cut). The texture was just not great. A bit dry and gritty, although cooked very well. It definitely wasn't the best end to a phenomenal meal and certainly not a great promotion for Cumbrea Farms. After the prior 9 courses, it just really fell short. I wish I could have had 6 more of the egg yolk ravioli and the mushroom dish was also to die for.
