We were 3 friends out to enjoy dinner and music. There is no parking so we paid a meter outside the building (which is in a very seedy part of town) that had a 1 hour limit so we had to go back during dinner...to pay again. The restaurant is very small, 22 people fit tight. It has a nice atmosphere, very southern USA. We were sat at the bar on wobbly bar stools with wooden crates to rest our feet on. Atmospheric but very uncomfortable for a 2 hour seating. The food was good, but not worth the money we paid. The catfish was dry and not much Cajun flavour. The rice and beans was ok, coleslaw and a cornmeal muffin were ok. The apple crisp after dinner was good, my favourite part of the meal was the café du monde, but by that time we were sweating from lack of air conditioning, being crowded in a small room and lots of candles burning. The entertainment was good and it was a fun evening. It would have been so much better if we were at all comfortable. The seating and the heat took much of the fun out of an otherwise fun atmosphere.
