Several weeks ago, we made reservations through The Cameron's website, for a 9:00 a.m. Saturday brunch to celebrate my Mother-in-law's birthday. She is a huge tennis fan, grew up in the neighbourhood, and took lessons at the Ottawa Tennis Club as a child - so...the whole family was very much looking forward to this event. As we had not received an email confirmation or phone call, my wife called The Cameron two days before to confirm our reservation. It was good that we called, as they had no record of it. Nevertheless, we were assured there was no problem with the day or time, and were even asked if we would prefer to be seated outside or in. Imagine our surprise when our party of six arrived promptly at 9:00 the next day, only to be told that the restaurant hours had changed and they did not open until 10:00. As aggravating as this was, not wanting to turn a happy occasion (birthday) into a negative one, we went to Stoneface Dolly's on Preston, and had a fabulous brunch. Something as basic as knowing the hours of your establishment and being able to communicate that to the public (The Cameron website still says they open at 9:00) should not be that difficult.
