Came across this place by accident on Saturday dinner time wander around the area. It's on the "100 block" of East Hastings Street. This used to be part of an overall very "sketchy" area. However, this block, is in the vanguard of the "gentrification" of...the area and is quite safe with lots of new businesses. A couple of blocks away, you have Pigeon Park and all that goes with that and beyond. The restaurant was a nice surprise. It was busy. The background music was great, just loud enough to hear clearly but not drown out conversation. The service was excellent. We had two waitresses who couldn't be more helpful with food and drink suggestions. The food was as good as you would expect in a "pub bistro." However, the pricing for a "downtown" location was quite a surprise. It was really reasonable. More reasonable than I have experienced in similar restaurants around about it. Go try it out.
