I had a $100 gift certificate given to me for the University Golf Club. I could have used it for golfing, for the pro shop or the restaurant. I had played the golf course many times in the past and had enjoyed the food afterwards....I chose to use the certificate to invite family members to the brunch. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food especially when they professed to have a chef on duty. My vegetarian burger was very poor in taste and poorly presented. The burger was pan fried with a lot of oil and was very flat like a pancake. The patty was much larger than the bun. The side salad did not look fresh and was not very appealing. The restaurant seemed to more of something you might find in a small rural town where there is just a short order cook. The wait staff were polite but were not that attentive. We had to make several requests for cutlery, extra plates and refills of refreshments. Totally disappointed. I would have been better off to have used the certificate in the pro shop and taken the guests to Mayfair Lakes Golf Club for lunch. Not a place for casual non-golfers to lunch.
