Being a regular visitor to the City and frequent dinner to ‘family restaurants/cafes’ of similar settings, I came to the said cafe for luncheon with three members of my family on a weekday. Without prior booking, we were offered comfortable seatings in the middle of...the cafe.There’re sufficient elbow room and the noise-level was better than tolerable. The reception was friendly and highly efficient, the menu was extensive, descriptive and very keenly priced. We ordered two ‘specialty’, that was mixed grill with full trimmings plus one of the soups of the day, and a beef slices fried ‘ho fan’ (Chinese pad equivalent) in sundried prawn paste. It was served with a mug of Hong Kong styled beverage ‘YinYoung’ (HK styled=half freshly brew coffee and half Ceylonese tea or Assam tea equivalent). The service was quick and efficient-always with a smile. Food were hot, tasty and well presented. The portions were very generous. In all, when settling the bill, I was delighted to offer a modest tips for a superb luncheon experience. I shall be glad to become a return customerMore
