Some family members and I visited East Side Mario’s in Hull on December 18, 2019. I had not been there in over ten years and, following our visit, promised not to return for at least another decade! Mildly put, the food was shockingly bad. One...of us ordered for instance a bowl of minestrone; it contained a single noodle and three pieces of vegetable, and the soup was insipid. When we returned it to our waiter, no apology was made. The pasta was also very greasy and tasteless. In fairness, the service was satisfactory although it took 15 minutes to get two drinks from the bar 12 meters away. While I did not expect Michelin-Star food or experience, this restaurant has clearly gone down hill big time since my last visit. I suspect most guests will be disappointed and underwhelmed by this restaurant.
