Matthieu the Matrie’d welcomed us and as it was September explained that the students had only been cooking in the kitchen for two days as it was the start of term. Before that , the students had spent three months in the classroom and kitchens...perfecting their skills. Under the watchful eye of Chef Alex (a former student from some years ago) the meal that we were presented with was outstanding. We had Duck Croquettes to start, followed by Beef and I finished with Pavlova, my sister a cheesecake. All the food was delicious and presented so beautifully . We had three courses for 35 Canadian Dollars and a delightful glass of Malbec was just 10 dollars. Matthieu was very attentive and we received excellent service.One of the best meals I have had anywhere in the world. Booking and eating here highly recommended . It was one of the highs of our two week trip across Canada.
