I took me a while to post this because I Wanted to give Marcelinas a chance and the benefit of the doubt. On Friday Nov 19th Aariahs 10 birthday, he asked for @marcelinasfilipinocuisine Caldereta. We have had it for years with no issues but this...time was different. After a long day of soccer we decided to eat at the house because the kids have soccer in the morning. We live less than 5 minutes away from the restaurant and only ordered the caldereta. After one bite Aariah reacted with stomach pain and his throat feeling funny. We called the restaurant and they confirmed there was no peanuts in the food. We took him straight to the hospital where they confirmed he was in anaphylactic shock. He is only allergic to nuts. I called the restaurant a few times after the incident where a lady told me she would have the owner call me and had my information. She did not call. I decided to go there today to get answers where she told me “Youre his mother, you should know what your giving him” “who knows what you have in your house” Not an apology or even acknowledging that there might have been cross contamination with the spoons and the Kare Kare. How could my son have an allergic reaction to the only thing he’s allergic too when that was literally all he ate. May God bless her conscience and what goes around comes around. In the end she asked me to provide me with my information and told us we are not allowed to eat there. Please share and make aware what kind of owner is behind this business as a fellow kabayan.
