Have gone to this Sal's location for years, and have always enjoyed it. However, in the past year, the food AND service has deteriorated. The "nips" used to be the best in Winnipeg. Now, they're tasteless and appear to have gotten smaller. The service is...the most noted disappointment. The long-time servers are always overheard complaining about their working conditions -usually the hours they have to work, their boss, etc. Their negative attitude carries over to their service, where they seem rushed and 50% of the time get your order wrong. Often you have to wait 10 minutes or more before someone even notices you at the table - and it's not even busy! Time to replace the cranky staff with someone younger and happier to have a job.
