As a Victoria local, I perhaps have high expectations. We have so many sushi restaurants, it's easy to become picky. The lunch set menus are good value for money and service is both attentive and unobtrusive. I ordered the Sashim & Spicy Tuna Roll lunch...which is more than ample. The sashimi was fresh and the tuna particularly tasty. I was disappointed with the spicy tuna roll: not at all spicy. The taro chips were a different addition to the set. My spouse had the Beef Teriyaki lunch which he deemed good but left the deep fried soft tofu??/arrowroot?? square. I didn't care for the one on my set either. We ordered a BBQ eel and avocado roll just to see what their rolls were like. We are both unagi fans and were dissappointed in the small ratio of eel to avocado. I note that this restaurant does do Okonomiyaki, a dish we came to love while travelling in Japan. We may venture back just to test it out.
