If I were able to give this place a 0, I would. I came into this place with my two friends really hoping to have a good time. The bouncers were disrespectful, degrading, insulting, racist and sexist. My cousin has a legal document (her ONLY...piece of ID). They refused to let us in because she didn’t have a second piece of ID. This would have been totally understandable if the supposed “owner” of this place had not been completely rude about it. My sister was also not allowed in for not having a second piece of ID despite having her Alberta license on her. On our way up I insulted the owner for being so rude and he grabbed me by my shoulder and kicked us out. He said that if I was going to insult him, we were not allowed in, even though he had been insulting us the whole time we were waiting outside. In addition, a person of colour coming in after us was also not allowed in because he was supposedly “high”. This man did not look high at all, and even calmly explained to the doormen that he was not intoxicated. It was just the staff being racist and not wanting a black person inside. I do not recommend this place at all. Especially if you are a woman or a person of colour and do not have personal connection with the staff, please do not come here. The staff is racist and sexist. I will never come back here and I will make sure everyone I know, knows of this incident. It’s 2020, and it’s about time people start treating others like human beings. With respect and kindness.
