I was born and raised in Winnipeg, and discovered this little gem about 15 years ago. Since moving away from Winnipeg 6 years ago, I make sure to book flights 'back home' that land when the Sumhay is OPEN!!! Crispy ginger beef, delux wonton soup,...sizzling plate of shrimp with a black bean sauce, and their Singapore noodles are all - in my opinion - among the finest dishes in the country!! I have not had anything from their menu that was anything less than excellent! The decor and location are not ideal, but the food is worth it.
