Bambury Farm is situated on 86-acres nestled among the rolling hills near St. Agatha, just minutes away from Kitchener-Waterloo. The Bambury Farm was purchased in 1964 and, for the first 15 years raised cattle and horses were raised. In 1997 Michael Banbury started an emu breeding operation and now sells top quality emu products including meats, soaps and skin products.
Emu meat is a great-tasting red meat that is high in protein and yet in fat, cholesterol and calories. It has a texture and taste similar to beef and can be used in any recipe that calls for beef. All of Bambury meat products are prepared and packaged locally in Waterloo. The emus are raised without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones. Banbury Farm offers a full line of cuts including steaks, ground emu, roasts and the very popular pepperettes.
