Great service and food taste delicious too! I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Above average food quality, quite atmosphere, nice view from the 14th floor of the 401 hwy, price was appropriate.
Always good Amazing view of Scarborough
We have visited Sagano many times over the years and it is an excellent japanese restaurant. Our favorite dishes include their tempura and steak
I have been going to Sagano for more than 15 years and the food is usually great. However I did not like the new Menu. Everything has changed and the food was not that great. Very sad to say I will not be going back
Poke was lacking, sashimi was good, but hard to screw up raw fish.
Overpriced food. Not at all comparable to other fine Japanese restaurants. Very small menu selection.
Disappointing on this visit. We hadn’t been since the menu was changed recently. Couldn’t make a Kir Royale (no cassis). Appetizers underwhelming. The tuna poke lacked seasoning. Very poor Ramen dish (pork). Will give it another try as we do like the ambience. Service and food have usually been very good.
The 3- star rating is for service only. Food-wise, I’d rate it as barely 1-star with the new menu. They have significantly shrank the menu and took away my personal favourite dish – miso black cod. Sadly I will not return.
Our hostess (Nancy) was attentive, friendly and assisted in the meal selections.
What a disappointment. We’ve been going to Sagano for years as it was once of the top Japanese restaurants in the east GTA, but with a new chef and a dismal new menu, Sagano has taken a turn for the worst. Our young daughter looks forward to dining at Sagano and now never wants to eat there again. Honestly, no tamago, no katsu sauce and no tempura sauce…no traditional sauces with so few options on the new menu…c’mon! So sad that Sagano still has the great wait staff, but is no longer a Japanese restaurant.
The Sashimi is amazing! The ramen soup are really good. Double maki tuna and crab are fresh.
“Decent sushi without having to leave our hotel! They advertise it as “”city views”” since it’s on the top floor but the view isn’t that stunning, it’s mostly all the surrounding commercial buildings in the outskirts of Toronto. The service was really good, our server was so sweet to us and our daughter and took special care to make her a set of kid friendly chopsticks. We all enjoyed our dinner- very nice sushi rolls.”
