My daughter and I had a delicious meal here after biking through Stanley Park.

My daughter and I had a delicious meal here after biking through Stanley Park. The employees were all incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was great! Our server was kind enough to make suggestions for my daughter, and she loved her meal. My ramen…was a bit spicy (in a good way), but it can be modified for your personal preference.

First of all there were no lines unlike another place up Robson which is no better than Koika.

First of all there were no lines unlike another place up Robson which is no better than Koika. Good noodles, good gyozas and the miso broth quite acceptable. A nice IPA and voila a hearty very affordable meal.

I ordered the seafood ramen.
3.0.0

I ordered the seafood ramen. Although they were very generous with the seafood all of which wasn’t over cooked, I found the noodles a little dense and plain and the broth was not particularly tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but in my…opinion the flavour really wasn’t there. It would be ok to stop for lunch, or for a casual stop but really not that special.

Robson and Denman streets in Vancouver must have one of the largest contingents of Ramen restaurants in North America and their overall quality is quite high.

Robson and Denman streets in Vancouver must have one of the largest contingents of Ramen restaurants in North America and their overall quality is quite high. Ramen Koika stands out because of their delicious Kings seafood ramen which features ocean fresh blue crab, clams and…green mussels served in a fresh pleasant little shop with pleasant efficient staff.

Ramens were ok, not too fat which is a good point.

Ramens were ok, not too fat which is a good point. The gyoza were sort of overcooked i felt like, and they were all stick together. They did not taste bad though but weren’t very good either.

I’m not a ramen expert.
5.0.0

I’m not a ramen expert….but the ramen I had here was near perfect. I had the spicy queen broth soup with noodles cooked hard….which is chewy, The broth was steamy and just the right amount of spicy, The veggies were perfect. I also ordered shredded…pork with it….which wasn’t really necessary…and the portion was huge! Service was great. My hubby had deep fried prawns and scallops….appetizers. He said they made him happy!More
