Cibo never disappoints. It was a birthday celebration.

Sat outside, on their street patio (new I’m sure due to Covid). It was very nice. Street noise from some cars but a nice view of CN Tower. Sommelier was a great help and picked out a lovely wine. Had an arugula salad, which was great. Linguine with chicken and pesto, the pesto was missing something. I can’t put my finger on it but it was still enjoyable. Got the lemon ricotta cheesecake, so yummy. We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary. So they gave us an extra dessert, the chocolate bomb, which was amazing as well.

Server Kimberly was absolute trash, I’ve never experienced such terrible service at any restaurant before. I even emailed the manager and heard nothing back which was very disappointing. I’ll just paste that email here as well since I never heard back ….This email is regarding my experience at this specific location. I have never been treated so poorly by a sever in my life. My boyfriend and I came to celebrate a very special night for us, it had even been noted when I made my reservation. Our server Kimberly was insanely rude and didn’t seem to bother asking us if we needed anything. She took our drinks order extremely aggressively without a hello even. Honestly I am a server myself and I understand she could’ve been having a bad day, however I noticed she had no problem speaking with the table next to us, and I actually would go as far as saying it’s because they were white. She didn’t seem to have issues with them, I tried asking her for a box and the bill and she completely walked away without listening to us needing the bill. I just wanted to say the attitude on her was horrendous and she should be very thankful that we were not the time to make a scene. I have been to this location 5 times now and this is the worst experience I‘ve had. We actually didn’t end up ordering a lot more than we wanted either, because she didn’t check up on us after the guy who dropped off our food left it there. Like I said I myself am a server which is why I tipped her $5 (which I find assaulting anyways) but after her taking the machine without a thank you I wish I hadn’t tipped at all.

Thank you for helping us celebrate a special birthday on the patio today. The warmth from the staff was exceptional. We felt very safe with the kids and the team made sure social distancing and contact tracing was followed. We hope to return soon!! Many Thanks again:))

The food was great!

I was so pleasantly surprised at how well the outdoor seating was set up. The plexy glass covered a lot of the wind and we were not cold at all! Food was nice. I’ve ordered seafood pasta in many restaurants on Kung street and all of them tasted like ammonia based on poor preservation/ hygiene. I had sworn I would never order it again and took a chance here – and it was lovely! Also got the best espresso martini in my 2 years of living here. I would come back for that alone. Service was fab too, waiters were lovely.
