We stopped by Café Perko on Villeray for an afternoon coffee on a Monday in August. Café Perko prides itself on being a place where people (students and others) can stop by and work. When we were there, several people were taking the café up...on this offer, with at least one table of four working (and discussing) together. Fear not, non-workers are welcome too. Café Perko offers the standard coffee and tea products, as well as food. Our visit was pleasant; the service was fine; the caffe lattes were good.
