This is one of our "go-to" restaurants for family gatherings - 8-10 people or more. We have been coming here for several years and know the current and previous owners well. Having been here so often, we tend to order many of the same dishes...every time we have a large gathering, since it's not every time that we can order such a large variety of dishes. It's difficult to order too many dishes when it's just my wife and myself coming here. Our favourite dishes include the House special shredded chicken for appetizer, fish soup, lettuce wrap with diced pork or duck filling, Peking Duck, squab, sweet and sour pork, deep fried stuffed bean curd, stir fried pea tips, and tapioca pudding for dessert. We have found the food to be consistently good. It does get very crowded on the weekends, especially for dinner. So, reservation is a must whether for a small or large group. Service does tend to be a bit slower when it gets crowded, but not annoyingly slower. It's generally a happy time when we gather, so we have lots to chat about while waiting for the food. For special occasions such as New Year's dinner, they have extra staff. Even though it does get full, I found that I am able to carry out a conversation across the table without having to yell. One of the few Chinese restaurants where I can do that.
