Fifendekel was once the pinnacle of good pie in Edmonton now it's the pits. Gone is their thick flakey signature crust now replaced with a thin tasteless one. The creamy hand stirred yummy egg based custard fillings replaced with starch based bounce back stick to...your mouth gobs of pure yuckiness. And the mounds of fresh cream topping and gorgeous thick piped rosettes replaced with a thin swipe of cream and a small edge of piping. Even the fruit fillings that used to be big bright and chunky look like they were poured out straight from a can. Asked to stay or to go? Did it matter??? Even the in house experience was lost on thin plastic plates with plastic forks rather than a dish and cutlery. The whole experience a loss. The only "upside"??? A reduction in price which "almost" reflects the reduction in quality. Oh Fifendekel...who did this to you my old friend? So sad.
