Cultural appropriation is complicated, but I find this situation a discussion Vancouver needs to have. Why is it that a group of privileged white men who are investors that have a none Canadian, german chef ( could have brought someone from Mexico) run the biggest...taco company in Vancouver? Travel to Mexico to get recipes and research and coming back to take over the Vancouver market? But they have zero Mexican chefs or talent that I am aware of unless I am wrong. But their biggest PR is a German chef??? Come on Vancouver support authentic cuisine. My last visit the food was not even good.
