Last week I went to Sun Sushi with a friend (my treat) and we shared 3 dishes: a generous wakame salad, "spider" (soft-shelled crab) tempura and a plate of gyoza.
Last week I went to Sun Sushi with a friend (my treat) and we shared 3 dishes: a generous wakame salad, "spider" (soft-shelled crab) tempura and a plate of gyoza. (I'd had a chirashi-don the day before and was carbo-loading for a track meet.) When...the cheque came it totalled only $25 -- I thought they had mistakenly split the bill! Seriously, a Japanese dinner for two usually costs nearly twice that, especially in Vancouver, and ESPECIALLY if it's excellent, as Sun Sushi always is.
