Our family does a lot of special events like this, and to say we were underwhelmed is being fairly polite. I'm not sure how much the bar had to do with the planning of the event, but as themed events go, it was pretty weak....They had decor, which appeared to be all within about 10 feet of the door. Once you walked past that, it was just another bar. The rest of the event was pretty tough to get into, partly because it was not well organized, but also because the majority of the seats were far enough from the DJ, that we could barely hear what they were saying. As a prepaid, ticketed event, it would have been good to know that the tickets had a time limit on them. While we were in line for one of the special activities, 8:30 arrived and we were told that it was done. Since everyone was given 5 tickets for either special activities or beer samples, it would have been nice to have been able to use those last few tickets for a couple more samples. As for the food, it wasn't too bad, but the portion size for the price was not a good match. Their prices were pretty premium for a diet sized order. That is, when we finally received service. We were there nearly 45 minutes before we got anyone to our table, and then it was a bar tender that we called over. As for beer selection, they were not hugely stocked. with the various bars around that specialize in beers, they really have their competition lined up on that front. To put it simply; not only will I not buy tickets to a Wizard's Beer Fest again, but I don't see any of us going back to Vagabond. Sorry guys.
