Our family came here for dinner on a weekend. They were one of the rare Chinese restaurants that included a free crab based on a specific numbers of entrees. The way I see it, you’re still paying for the crab. For example, by picking 8...items for a total of $169, it works out to be $21 per dish where it included complimentary ‘house’ soup, white rice, 2 crabs cooked to your choice, and sweet red bean dessert. There were 47 entrees to choose from such as tofu, noodles, seafood, pork, beef and chicken. Make sure they are ok with the slight substitutes. We mainly ordered the seafood. A majority of us agreed that the deep fried squid in peppery salt was the best. Batter was crispy and the squid wasn’t rubbery. Second fav was the honey garlic spareribs- good meat on the bones. Slightly overboard with the sweet sauce. More like a sweet puddle of sauce. The delivery of the dishes weren’t the speediest, especially when a few of us were hungry. Our 8th dish didn’t arrive until we were pretty well finished. If your food doesn’t arrive, I recommend you ‘remind’ them as I did twice. Overall, the food portions were decent, and would overall rate the taste a 3.25 stars. Based on my past experience, I recall the baked tapioca pudding was yummy which we forgot to order at the beginning as it takes awhile to bake. If you like tapioca pudding, it’s a must have. Imagine a hot crusty pie with hot tapioca filling inside. They take reservations. We failed to let them know we had a wheelchair. A challenge for a wheelchair considering there were two steps to negotiate to get up to the other tables. They accept credit cards which is a bonus. I hadn’t been here in ages, and noticed the sign on the awning didn’t say ‘Rose Garden’. They need some serious upgrades even though I noticed a newer coat of paint on the walls. It was busy. Parking is on the street and it’s a challenge. They are located across the street from Safeway.
