We were a family of four adults at the Island for a day of cycling and decided on a late lunch at the Riviera. Despite it being about 1445 hrs the restaurant was busy so our name was taken and we it was suggested that...we have a drink in the Castaways bar out front. Our wait turned out to be about 20 minutes (about 10 less than the hostess estimated), at which time we were led to the large, pleasant, treed seating area around back, where service was reasonably quick and cheerful despite the place being full. Unfortunately, the website menu did not agree with what was actually on offer, which forced three of us to change our minds. The meal arrived promptly and our two burgers were pretty nicely done. The Soba salad was also fairly tasty, but the Buddha's Belly salad didn't impress. Cocktail-wise, the Negroni was first class, and the Dark & Stormy not bad. All told we were pleased, but not blown away, which is a bit of a shame given that the location oozes potential.
