Two impressions hit us immediately upon entering this restaurant . One being that it was tiny and the second was a very strong unpleasant smell. As a non Filipino I didn't know what it was, but kind of got used to it. We didn't talk...about it during dinner, but after we left my Filipina partner mentioned she thought it was from cooking goat skin and that the smell was too powerful for her to really enjoy the meal. The service was very friendly . I had the BBQ chicken , which was wonderful and tasty and very tender . It was a fair portion size for the price . Decor seems like this may have been a Japanese restaurant previously . Bonsai plants in the window and white lanterns covering the lights. Our meal was $27 for two entrees and 2 Cokes . I really enjoyed it, but my other half said that she wouldn't want to return because of the smell. Maybe this was a one time occurrence and I'm sure most Filipinos would be familiar with the odor .
