We had originally seen Falconetti's Bar & Grill featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. During Dine Out Vancouver, we headed over to Commercial Drive (or The Drive as named by Locals) in E. Vancouver to give it a try. Since there is live music on...the weekends, we requested a table on the second level. Floor space is limited, so it is easier to hold a conversation on the second floor. We did not notice any alternative method to dine up on the second floor other than the 25+ stairs, so it could be difficult if mobility issues are a problem for some. From up there, one has a limited view of the Vancouver. We chose two of the offerings from the $30.00 price fixe menu. Our starters were the Jamaican Jerk Spring Rolls or the Grilled Skewer Prawns. Since the sausages are made on site, we ordered their sampler plate.(three types of sausages from approximately 10 types) The sausages contain NO fillers and are GF. This plate was accompanied by fries, cornbread (unbelievably delicious), & a Caesar salad. I ordered the baby back ribs slow cooked in a tequila based sauce. So tender and a very generous portion. Fries, coleslaw & cornbread rounded out the entrée. Dessert did not disappoint --- Key Lime Pie or a warm Brownie drizzled with caramel sauce. Falconetti's gets "two thumbs up" from us for its generous portions, excellent service, and flavourful food! .
