This place tries to do the gastropub thing, and kind of makes it work, but a few tweaks to the menu would make it even better. Pan seared salmon with house-made gnocchi had a cream sauce, but why? Salmon is already a relatively oily fish....Simpler seasoning would have been better. Waitress had to check whether the kitchen could substitute another sauce, but again, why? That should have been a straightforward answer: "Sure, no problem." On the plus side, the salmon was cooked properly, and gnocchi was quite tasty and light, definitely fresh and homemade. Linguine with basil pesto and crispy prosciutto was too salty. Garlic confit was bitter; properly roasted garlic should be slightly sweet. On the plus side, the pasta was cooked properly al dente. Unfortunately we were too full from the heavy food to order the flourless chocolate cake.
