I went today 9th August 2019 check 198429 #2 served by EVE - and saw that someone else had what I thought was a thai green chicken curry. It looked lovely, so I asked if I could have that. The waitress/ till server Eve said...something unintelligible to me so I repeated that I would like exactly the same. Again she said the same unintelligble thing, so I gave up. So I went to the till and then she rung it up. Then I thought I would have a salad to start and I used the word "starter" so she cancelled the transaction and started again. I sat in the window and the salad arrived, it was big and lovely, with beef and onion, tomato and the sauce. It was far too much sauce and this needs to be reduced and the salad tossed more. One minute later the main course arrived so I was left with two dishes to eat at once. I was a bit cross with this. I decided that as the salad is a cold item that I would eat the curry first It was really nice, with large pieces of aubergine, broccoli ( what she was trying to tell me was that the person had it with extra broccoli ) and a lovely sauce, along with great rice and a spring roll - a chicken curry. I would definitely go again and it a shame I was only here for two days as I would go for lunch tomorrow. The main dish was shoved onto my table with no charm and the card machine would not advance without me selecting a tip, so I gave the lowest one. The place serves no alcohol so I had a diet coke which was fine. They need to realise that not everyone wants to be in and out in 10 minutes and for me it is about delectation of the flavours, not just about stuffing it down. So if someone says starter - do the starter -- then take the plate away and fire the main course. Good portinos, good price CAD 22.71 inc tip and incl $1.50 extra for the broccoli addition made for a good lunch with which I felt revived purely for the roughage.
